There are three elections on 6th May this year:

  • Wiltshire Council
  • Salisbury City Council
  • Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon

All three elections are being held at the same time this year and you will receive ballot papers for each election at the same time.


Wiltshire Council Election

Wiltshire Council elections are held on a four year cycle on the first Thursday in May and the next is due on 6th May 2021. Each elected Councillor is appointed for a four year term. Wiltshire Council is made of of 97 Councillors. There are 8 Wiltshire Council seats available in Salisbury City.

Salisbury City Council Election

The City elections are due on 6th May this year. Each elected Councillor is appointed for a four year term.  Salisbury City Council is made up of 23 elected councillors who represent eight wards across the City. With the New boundary changes there will be 24 elected councillors representing the City.

Police & Crime Commissioners Elections

Police & Crime Commissioner elections are due on 6th May this year. The Commissioner is appointed for a four year term.

The Labour candidate for the Police and Crime Commissioner is Junab Ali.
